DISCOVER JAPAN BEYOND THE GUIDEBOOKS
If you’ve already experienced years of solo, group, or fast-paced travel, this Friends and Family journey through Japan might be just what you’re looking for. You’ll enjoy the must-see attractions while also discovering the charm of local, off-the-beaten-path areas. With a small group of no more than six people, you’ll have the flexibility that makes travel truly enjoyable. Our days are thoughtfully outlined with sightseeing and ideas, but we embrace the spirit of slow travel—moving at a relaxed pace and taking time to savour each experience. Having visited Japan regularly since 1983 for both work and pleasure, I can truly say it feels like home.
While Japan can be extremely busy in some places, just a few steps away lie hidden gems—beautiful neighbourhoods, traditional arts, striking architecture, and tranquil corners waiting to be explored. For those who love shopping, Japan is also a paradise, full of unique finds and special treasures.
Each evening, I’ll make dinner arrangements for those who wish to join, but it’s always optional—you’re welcome to enjoy your own plans if you prefer.

Along the way, we’ll experience a short Kabuki performance, a uniquely Japanese art form that I think is not to be missed. A Sumo dinner show is also available as an optional experience.
